It is proposed that the Edinburgh International Conference Centre is
used to host SPWLA 2008. The EICC is located in Edinburgh’s new financial
district in the heart of the city. The main auditorium seats 1,200 delegates
and the exhibition hall is 1,200 sq metres in size.
At the touch of a button, the main auditorium is rapidly converted into
adjacent auditoria of 600, 300 and 300, each with raked seating. Each
Auditorium is equipped with full projection, lighting, staging, sound
reinforcement systems and control rooms.
The Conference Centre contains currently has an exhibition hall offering
1,200 sq metres of exhibition space. The Strathblane Hall situated on the
ground floor offers a wide open space which can easily accommodate
registration of visitors, additional exhibition or poster requirements.
The Business Centre, where a comprehensive range of facilities and services
are available for delegates is also situated here along with cloakroom
facilities and concierge.
On level 1, overlooking the Strathblane Hall is the Committee Room level
where the Galloway Suite is located. This suite comprises 8 smaller meeting
rooms ideal for organiser offices, speaker registration or for smaller
breakout meetings.
The EICC is ideally suited for the SPWLA conference. You will have use of a
state of the art venue where networking and working amicably coincide!

support state-of-the-art technical facilities.
The Conference Centre is also located in the heart of the city centre, close
to many hotels, restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops – and more importantly
easily explored safely on foot.
