For those who wish to venture further a-field Glasgow is a 45min train journey from Edinburgh. Glasgow also has a wealth of culture, galleries and shopping. The Burrell Collection, the Glasgow Art Gallery and many others are all easily accessible from Edinburgh. St Andrews, home of Golf, and the Highlands of Scotland are only an hour’s drive from Edinburgh.
